see it moving – Life!
moving through the ache of time
seeking that place
where identity isn’t worn on a sleeve,
where individuals challenge the tribe,
where beauty frees itself from convention,
where the chain of fear dissolves

“…where individuals challenge the tribe.” That’s what poets like you do, Jamie, whether you are asking us to reexamine our personal and/ or societal values, or challenging us to see with fresh eyes.

Ahhh … by far I’m unique and no where near to following the tribe – always challenging it.
Great poem – as I would expect from Jamie Dedes.

Lovely poem Jamie: Very relevant as we grow older and have the time connect to what is utterly true and real in the precious moments that unfold in our lives.

I guess when it gets to the place when we don’t need an identity, whether as an individual or as part of a tribe.we truly realise that we are all one anyways. Lovely reflections Jamie.
