I am a woman, kept bound
with my mouth sealed,
one finger laid against
my gagged lips
my will
in darkness
in silence
in death
a short period of darkness
before the power
before the sun
appears through silence.

I really had to look up Angerona. The Goddess of fear/anxiety/silence. Oh. Yes. That is the women/girls in detention. Such a short poem that captures it exactly. The question is, will the sun come up? Will they encounter Apollo?
