I find them (many, many of the people who use headphone sets at museums) annoying and irksome as they continue to stand in front of a work during the entire talk on the piece in which they stand in front of … completely unaware that anyone else is in line behind them, as the line gathers 20 or so persons.

Yes, that is another right observation. There is simply no interaction and that is such a shame. Nobody will ‘meet’ another in a museum any more. Museums become cold places were no spontaneous friendships are formed. (No wonder we need all these dating companies to ‘meet’ a potential partner).
