“Thou art alive still while thy book doth live, and we have wits to read and praise to give.” –William Shakespeare–
Paris is a huge city, so crowded, so busy.

Sometimes it’s difficult to see beyond the milling throngs.

But the city is an open book.

Its stories are there for all to read…

In a gesture.

Or a smile.

Or a sigh.

Life is happening all around.

So many faces…

…and each one…

…tells a story.

I was lucky enough to spend 5 days and nights in Paris many, many years ago, when I was in college. We saw most of the touristy things and had a good time – I loved the street flea market! I got sick of eating ham and cheese on french bread, but oh, my, we had some *really* good wine and patisseries, too! It was amazing and I even got a rubbing of Jim Morrison’s tombstone in Pere Lachaise (with some help from a couple of local guys) as a keepsake! I have heard that they recently decided to take down all the locks on the bridges because the weight of them was making the structures unsafe. You got some really nice photos, though. Thank you for sharing them!
