from their prison of lost hope

lovers-hands-6781279603436ENlui admit, it’s so tender, unspoiled
tongue forages for right words ~
they always carry the light of spirit,
always merge with the mind and
the heart, always temper and
heal, if you use the right ones,
if you use them the right way,
the way of what we call
“true” love, lasting love, love
that speaks in every moment,
every expression, “ true love,”
stale language, though; hollow,
banal, clichéd, tired, hackneyed,
used up . . . so let us say “authentic”
“constant” or “ardent” … all that and
tireless, Yes! , tireless – your tireless
warmth redeems my old dreams
from their prison of lost hope

“Trust me, though, the words were on their way, and when they arrived, Liesel would hold them in her hands like the clouds, and she would wring them out like rain.”  Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

The focus of "The BeZine," a publication of The Bardo Group Beguines, is on sacred space (common ground) as it is expressed through the arts. Our work covers a range of topics: spirituality, life, death, personal experience, culture, current events, history, art, and photography and film. We share work here that is representative of universal human values however differently they might be expressed in our varied religions and cultures. We feel that our art and our Internet-facilitated social connection offer a means to see one another in our simple humanity, as brothers and sisters, and not as “other.” This is a space where we hope you’ll delight in learning how much you have in common with “other” peoples. We hope that your visits here will help you to love (respect) not fear. For more see our Info/Mission Statement Page.
