super lotto…

super lotto

with hesitating steps
i entered
aunt bea’s home
after weeks
of speculation
unwarranted certainty
i had to admit
to her
that i had failed
in my endeavor
she smiled
a dream
a lottery ticket
to be drawn
on some
certain date
to declare
the winner
a dream
is a promise
that one makes
to self
to be sought

  1. How much better to pursue our dreams instead of holding back because we fear that we will have to admit failure in the future. I feel no guilt after abandoning a book project when I realized blogging was a better match for my needs at the time. Do you think fiscal responsibility to dependents is a part of the equation for younger people?
